Getting Your Haircut in a Foreign Country

So, yesterday I went to the movies (The Avengers was the movie pick of the day, more on that on another post!) and went to get my hair cut.
Oh BOY, did I get my hair cut.

The hairdresser spoke NO english and I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted:

But I think we saw two different things.
Needless to say, pixie cut was not the finished result, but more so boy cut.

Oy vey...
But as The Beatles put it: in the end, the love you get is equal to the love you give.
This doesn't have anything to do with 'bad' haircuts, but it's still good solid advice.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: I will NEVER pull an ANTM hair crisis breakdown and truthfully, it's just hair. It'll grow back!

Here's to a refreshing Tuesday!

  1. I actually think it looks pretty close to Michelle Williams :) You're so brave to have gotten a pixie cut and you pull it off well! My face on the other hand would not be able to haha x

    1. I guess the fear in me saw it a little bit longer haha.
Aw, thanks so much! And I never thought it would work for me either- so, you never know 'til you try it ;) You'd be surprised!

  2. hahaha I am actually terrified of getting my haircut (I actually trimmed it myself last week...).

I think that with a bit of gel it is actually pixie cut and I love how short hair looks on you!

    1. That's a good talent to have (trimming/cutting your own hair)! The most I ever did was cut my bangs before I went for the short look.

Thanks! Yeah, I still need to work on incorporating gel/wax into my hair life...

  3. Looks good =)

I agree a bit of hair wax will help give it texture!
