Audrey's Circle of Friends

I wanted to title this "When Audrey Hepburn hangs out with cool people", but I found it redundant. Audrey could be with a lamp (I love...lamp.) and it'd be cool. That's just my opinion, though.

Either way, here are some photos that stand out for me. (Not including any with actors or her co-stars; it would've been too hard to choose!)

Happy (Belated) Birthday Audrey
May 4, 1929 - January 20, 1993

With Ip (Full Name: Pippin), the deer.
She adopted Ip before filming Green Mansions (with Norman Bates Anthony Perkins), to bond with it- just look at them!

With Edith Head, famed (and 8 time Academy Award winner) costume designer.

Of course, they did work in 3 films so it may not be so rare to see a picture of them together...
And just for extra kicks: A sketch of Princess Ann's dress by Ms. Head

With the beautiful (and tragic) Capucine.
They were pretty close, as they were both living in Switzerland.
She was a longtime friend of Audrey Hepburn, the two having met while modeling in Paris in the late 1940s. A manic-depressive, Capucine's life had on several occasions been saved by her friend after repeated suicide attempts.* -- IMDb
With super model Dovima.
Some free time in between Funny Face shooting.
I love everything about this photo.

And of course, her life-long friend, M. Hubert Givenchy.

Audrey Hepburn, later the most prominent proponent of Givenchy's fashion, and Givenchy met in 1953 during the shoot of Sabrina. He went on to design almost all the wardrobes she wore in her movies. He also developed his first perfume collection for her (L'Interdit and Le de Givenchy). -- Wikipedia

Legend has it M. Givenchy was 'warned' a Ms. Hepburn was going to stop by to pick out clothes from the collection for a new film (Sabrina, 1954). Expecting Katherine Hepburn, he was very much surprised when he welcomed in a doe-eyed gamine Audrey Hepburn.
And, as they say, the rest is history!

I can never get enough Audrey.
What about you?

* Sadly, Capucine ended her life in 1990.
