Of Gardens of Sorts

I've learned a parenting trick: you have to tire your kid out to get a good night's sleep.*
And a play ground/area will do the trick. Although it's worth noting that there's a lot we can learn from a kid's enthusiasm to life.

I won't lie; it's fun playing with kids and their toys.

Ridin' the beep beep, as my nephew likes to call it. He still doesn't really talk, unless you count gibberish.**

Once again, we travelled to faraway lands to a place I was already familiar with.***
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden was a good time!

Flamingo Posse
We walked around the garden's viewing bridge- is that what you would call this?

Untitled

It was a great way to get a view of everything.

Cute little bonsai trees.

Hangin' out with my lemur friends.

When lunch time came around, my nephew switched to diva mode...

Life's not fair. Not even as a baby.

Once he was back on a beep beep, everything was cool.

Untitled

Speaking of beep beeps, we came across a real one amidst all the trees and flowers.

Mustang Sally.****

A really awkward portrait with a family of rats.

I'm smiling because I've got an ice cream cone.

And we met animal friends!

Have you ever noticed how a goat's pupil isn't round, but it's more of an horizontal line?
Yeah, it's pretty weird. They're still cool though.

I fed some ponies.

And it smiled at me. Seriously.

Sexy times on balls.

On the ride back home, I tried to capture another great sunset but it proved a difficult task in a moving vehicle. I was, however, somewhat pleased with the blurry outcome.

It's like a POV of a man lost in the savannah after eating peyote. Yeah, a complete nightmare.
Or, I don't know.

Nong Nooch is a pretty random garden but good fun.

* It's a double advantage: not only do they fall asleep faster, but if they've endured well on into the wee hours of the night, it also means they won't wake up as early. ie. more sleep for you!
** I do. It's hard to talk gibberish- ask any performer.
*** By far away, I mean a 2hr drive.
**** I sang that out loud, oblivious to the Russian tourists.

  1. Really cool! Were those flamingos real?

And I've been wanting to do things with little kids too. They view the world so differently from adults. And they can be so cute!
